When does my access begin?⌄
Immediately upon joining. Your welcome email arrives within minutes and contains login instructions, full archive access, and the date of the next live transmission.
When are the live sessions?⌄
Monthly live transmissions are held on the second Sunday of each month at 10:00 AM PST (Vancouver) / 1:00 PM EST / 6:00 PM GMT. If you cannot attend live, the full recording is in your archive within 24 hours.
Can I cancel at any time?⌄
Yes — at any time, with no fee, no form, and no friction. Write to Maitreya@MaitreyaBuddha.com and your membership is cancelled effective the end of the current billing period. Your access remains until then.
Is there any minimum commitment?⌄
None. Month to month from day one. No contracts, no lock-ins. The community has members who joined at the founding and have never left — not because they cannot, but because the teaching keeps moving.
What if the live time doesn't suit my timezone?⌄
Every session is recorded. The full recording — identical to the live experience — is in your archive within 24 hours. Many members in Asia, Oceania, and Europe primarily engage through recordings and report no meaningful difference in the depth of the experience.
Is this right for someone completely new to the teaching?⌄
Yes. Maitreya teaches to the depth of the room, and the Uncommon Wisdom Circle room is always beautifully mixed — from someone attending their first teaching event to practitioners who have been in the work for decades. No prior experience is assumed or required.
Can I pause my membership?⌄
We don't offer a formal pause option, but if you are facing genuine difficulty, write to us at Maitreya@MaitreyaBuddha.com. We handle every situation individually and with care.
What exactly do I get each month?⌄
Every month you receive: one 90-minute live transmission with Maitreya (held on the second Sunday), one live open Q&A session directly after, a monthly practice guide PDF, and access to the private Uncommon Wisdom Circle community. You also have immediate access to the full archive of all previous sessions from day one of your membership.
What is the difference between the monthly and annual plan?⌄
Everything included is identical. The annual plan simply saves you $167 — the equivalent of more than three months free — and removes the monthly billing cycle entirely. One payment, twelve months of full access. If you know you are committed to the work, annual is the better choice. If you want to try it first, start monthly. You can upgrade at any time.
How is the Uncommon Wisdom Circle different from a course?⌄
A course has a beginning and an end. The Circle has neither. It is a sustained container — a living community of practice that continues month after month, deepening as the members deepen. Courses transmit information; the Circle transmits something closer to an ongoing relationship with the teaching and with a community of genuine practitioners. Many members describe it as the most important ongoing support in their spiritual life.
What is the private community like?⌄
It is a moderated, thoughtful space — nothing like the noise of social media. Members share reflections on the teaching, support each other through the integration of what arises in the transmissions, and ask questions that are sometimes answered in the subsequent live sessions. It is warm, substantive, and free of the performative spiritual posturing that can make online communities hollow. Members consistently describe it as the most honest spiritual community they have encountered.
Do I need to attend the live sessions to get full value?⌄
No. The live sessions carry a particular quality of presence that many members value deeply, but the recordings are complete — not abbreviated, not edited. Many long-term members engage primarily through recordings and report that the teaching lands just as fully. What matters is that you actually sit with the material, whether live or recorded.
Can I ask Maitreya questions directly?⌄
Yes. The monthly Q&A session following each transmission is specifically for this. Every question submitted is read by Maitreya and as many as time allows are addressed live. Questions can also be submitted in advance for those who cannot attend. Maitreya takes the Q&A as seriously as the transmission itself — these sessions are often where the most precise and personally relevant teaching happens.
Is this suitable if I am going through a difficult time?⌄
Yes — and often especially so. The teaching does not ask you to be well before you arrive. It works with you exactly where you are. Many members have joined in the midst of grief, transition, loss, or the disorientation of a life that has not gone as expected, and describe the Circle as one of the most grounding and genuinely supportive resources they have encountered. If you are navigating significant mental health challenges, we also offer one-to-one counselling through Maitreya Counselling alongside the membership.
What if I join and it is not the right fit?⌄
Then you cancel, simply and without drama. There is no minimum term on the monthly plan, no cancellation fee, and no lengthy process. Write to Maitreya@MaitreyaBuddha.com and it is done. We would rather you leave and find what genuinely serves you than stay out of inertia. That said — in our experience, the people who give the teaching genuine attention consistently find that it was exactly what they were looking for.
